Reviews for Love you Deeply

The book is very organized and well written, in a light-hearted manner. I love the quotes that lead into each chapter and the affirmation at the end of each. It includes strategies for overcoming ingrained self-sabotaging negative beliefs, that have destroyed our self-love and acceptance. They can be taken on one at a time so we can gradually change our negative mindset and improve our sense of self-worth. The author shows us that we don’t need outside validation, in any form, at the expense of our well-being. We have everything we need within ourselves for empowerment. It’s a wonderful read for anyone, but especially women. I love it! – Rahimah Sultan

If you’ve ever had a lack of confidence in yourself, suffered from low self-worth or self-esteem, then read this book. It’s a detailed guide of how to take care of YOU first, which is so important! How to stop thinking small. How to stop listening to that negative inner voice. How to make yourself a priority in your own life. Basically, this is just a roadmap to learning how to appreciate who YOU are and just being you. Highly recommended! – Bookminded

This book is a great reminder and needs to be read by all women – even super confident ones. The book gives great insights into why women have a natural tendency to beat themselves up and how to stop doing that and to love ourselves instead. I love the personal anecdotes and can relate to them – and how these experiences lead us to tell ourselves ‘stories’ in our head. It’s so well written – light-hearted and yet delivering a serious message. And full of ideas that are easy to apply to immediately raise our self-esteem in a way that is lasting. – Tina Sibley

Self Love For Women

Self-love starts with the recognition and appreciation of our inner worth and value.

When I was ten years old, my mother commented that I was so plain I could transform myself into whatever I wanted when older. I think she meant it as some kind of compliment as she went on to say, “Your hair is such a drab color that you can go blonde, be a redhead, do highlights… anything at all.”

Despite her ‘flattery’, I took her remarks very badly. Even at that age, I had this feeling I wasn’t good enough the way I was and had to be something else. Well, ‘had to’ is a strong term, but hey, if your own mother thinks you need a makeover, who are you to argue?

Recognise Your Self Worth

I am sure that you are an expert at self-judgment. After all, you’ve had enough practice, right? Who better than you to magnify your multiple flaws, faults, and weaknesses in all their glory. But, in striving to be your best, you could end up being your own worst enemy.

We all judge ourselves harshly at some point or another in life and there’s nothing unusual about that.

The problem arises when we do it so often that it becomes a long-lasting habit. It’s one thing to kick yourself for being late to an appointment or not meeting a deadline, but if such events turn into grand general statements about your unworthiness as a whole, then that’s a slippery path.

Glow With Self Confidence

Another example may be when your thoughts tell you, “I’ll never be successful in my career, I’ll never pass that exam, I’ll never find a boyfriend,” or whatever….

Don’t let those thoughts become written in stone — your inner critic isn’t in control of your life, you are.

Simply let those thoughts pass by with a response like, “Oh, there goes my inner critic again sounding off.” If you can learn to let it have its say without paying too much attention to it, it will soon realize that it doesn’t have that much influence over you.

We all judge ourselves harshly at some point or another in life and there’s nothing unusual about that.

Get Your Self Esteem Back

Self-esteem grows when you learn to stop listening to the negative inner voice that prevents you from believing in yourself.

I talk to myself a lot. The conversation is usually a dialogue between the me that I love and the me that wants to bring me down. Over the years, I’ve learned to pay much less attention to the latter because it’s usually fake news.

When I make a mistake, instead of letting that negative voice tell me what a failure I am, I listen to the more positive voice so that I can put things into a better perspective.

If I feel doubt creeping in, rather than spiraling into the ‘I’m useless’ monologue, I remind myself of my strengths.
